The Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association held an open interactive seminar in Baghdad focused on Chinese cultural exchange. The seminar covered various topics including trade, education, culture, tourism, and everything related to China.

Meeting Between the Iraq-China Friendship Association and Yiwu City Government to Discuss Economic and Financial Cooperation

A significant meeting was held between the President of the Iraq-China Friendship Association and the Chairman of the Iraq-China Business Council, Mr. Haider Al-Rubaie, with officials from the Foreign Relations Department of Yiwu City Government. The meeting discussed numerous economic, commercial, and financial issues of mutual interest. Key topics included providing financial facilities for traders and investors through the establishment of joint banks, as well as facilitating the acquisition of visas and residency for the Iraqi community. Additionally, various proposals were exchanged, which the Iraq-China Friendship Association aims to implement to develop relations between the two countries and serve their citizens.

Meeting to Enhance Iraqi-Chinese Cooperation and the Twinning Project Between Baghdad and Guangzhou

A fruitful meeting was held on 20/07/2024 between Mr. Haider Al-Rubaie, Chairman of the Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association and the Chairman of the Iraqi-Chinese Business Council, and Mr. Sabah Al-Baghdadi, Secretary-General of the Iraqi-Chinese Business Council, with the Foreign Relations Officer of Guangzhou City and the President of the Guangzhou Friendship Association, in addition to the Foreign Relations Officer with foreign countries for Guangzhou City.

The meeting covered several important topics, most notably the twinning project between Guangzhou and Baghdad. The Chinese government has included this project in its programs in coordination with the Baghdad Municipality, which will be responsible for following up on the implementation of the program.

Also attending the meeting were Mr. Saad Al-Jubouri, President of the Iraqi community in Guangzhou, and Mr. Ali Juwair, a senior businessman in the Iraqi-Chinese Business Council. The discussions focused on ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in cultural, scientific, and economic fields.

The Chinese Language Department in Beijing Recognizes the Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association with the "Best Partner of the Year 2023

In the presence of the Vice Minister of Higher Education of China for International Studies, the Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association, represented by its Director of Public Relations, Dr. Sajad Al-Qazaz, participated in the First World Chinese Language Conference, which was held in Beijing, the capital, with the participation of universities around the world cooperating in the Chinese language department and all major Chinese universities.

Iraq was represented by the Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association, the Chinese language department, after the University of Germany and the Russian University of Moscow, and it won the award for "Best Partner of the Year" with the Chinese language department in Beijing.

The Iraqi Investment Committee held a meeting with the Chinese Embassy, in the presence of the Association's President, Haider Al-Rubaie, to discuss solutions to the issues facing the Iraqi private sector.

As part of the efforts of the Investment and Development Committee, and with the commendable efforts of the Chairman of the Investment and Development Committee, MP Hassan Al-Khafaji, the members of the Investment Committee, the Chinese Embassy, and with the participation of the Chairman of the Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association, Mr. Haider Al-Rubaie, a meeting was held to discuss many of the obstacles facing the Iraqi private sector.

The committee reached solutions to these problems with the embassy in cooperation with the Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association, the most important of which were:

1. Removing Iraq from the list of dangerous countries on Chinese websites to support Chinese investors and the Chinese private sector to enter the Iraqi commercial arena and establish projects that help the Iraqi private sector with development and development.
2. Facilitating the Iraqi merchant's obtaining of a commercial visa and also granting the merchant a 3-month stay or granting a multiple visa to major merchants.
3. Opening money transfer channels through opening joint accounts between Iraqi banks and Chinese banks to facilitate commercial transfers.
4. The entry of the Chinese national carrier to transport passengers, the most important of which is the Chinese airline from Baghdad Airport to the Chinese city of Hangzhou.
5. The committee also discussed tourism and cultural programs that help and develop relations of friendship between the two countries, Iraq and China.

The Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association will continue to provide the best to serve Chinese-Iraqi relations.

In the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Fuad Hussein, and with the attendance of the Chinese Ambassador His Excellency Mr. Tsui Wei, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mohammad Hussein, alongside the representative from the Prime Minister's Office, and the head of the Asia and Australia department, Dr. Omid, today, the head of the Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association, Mr. Haydar Al-Rubaie, attended the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' ceremony for the 65th anniversary of Iraqi-Chinese relations.

It was a fruitful meeting in which several cultural and popular diplomatic topics were discussed. The honorable minister praised the relentless efforts of the association and recommended full support for everything the association needs to complete its ongoing tasks, including the establishment of the first Chinese language institute in Iraq and the introduction of the Chinese language for the first time in Iraqi universities in Baghdad. The minister was keen on overseeing the matter until its completion.

Additionally, the respected Chinese ambassador spoke about the importance of friendship between the two countries and lauded the crucial role of the association in this domain. The Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association stands unique in this cultural and educational field.

On August 10, 2023, Chinese Ambassador to Iraq Cui Wei participated in a cultural session on Chinese-Iraqi friendship, marking the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Iraq.

Ambassador Cui highlighted five key features of Chinese civilization and the Global Civilization Initiative, emphasizing that China and Iraq are both ancient civilizations with a deep-rooted traditional friendship dating back over 2,000 years.

He also said that China is committed to working with Iraq to deepen their strategic partnership, promote cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, implement the Global Civilization Initiative, and promote common human values, in order to make greater contributions to building a community with a shared future for mankind.

We represented our beautiful country, the Republic of Iraq, in the capital Beijing. We met with the ambassadors of the Arab countries (Palestine, Lebanon, Kuwait, and the Emirates) and with the delegations of the 14 Arab countries. Our association, the Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association, represented Iraq in the traditional Baghdadi attire and many other details to bring our country, Iraq, closer to the rest of the Arab countries in China

The delegations of 14 different Arab countries gathered, with the presence of more than 150 people, to attend this large forum in several Chinese cities, including the capital Beijing, Shanxi in Shiyan and Yulin

we had our own speech at this conference, which was a success. We thanked the conference for strengthening the ties with our Arab brothers and sisters, as well as with China

The conference focused on bringing the Arab countries closer to China, national unity, and benefiting from China's experience in combating unemployment and obtaining clean energy from wind and solar

The 131st Canton Fair came to a close online on April 24. Adhering to itsmission of "Canton Fair Global Share", this session is themed "Facilitating the Dual Circulation of Domestic and Overseas Markets". Thanks to digital information technologies and cloud technologies, the Fair has built an efficient trade platform breaking the limit of time and space for Chinese and overseas enterprises. 25,500 Chinese and overseas exhibitors uploaded over 3 million products. 536,000 overseas buyers from 228 countries and regions registered and attended the Fair. All the numbers hit a record high. The official website featured a more stable system, richer content, more targeted matchmaking, and more considerate services, leading to more active participation of buyers. The achievements have made positive contributions to the high-quality development of trade, the stability of industrial and supply chains, and the world economic recovery. China Foreign Trade Centre signed a cooperation agreement with your Chamber in recent time. To expand the "circle of friends" of foreign trade, Canton Fair has been advancing its Global Cooperative Partnership Program with a focus on the countries along the "Belt and Road" and RCEP member countries. Congratulations on the Chinese Spring Festival

On 31/1/2022, a congratulatory message was sent from the Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association to the Chinese people and the Chinese government by displaying the Chinese flag on the largest display screen in Iraq and all light screens in the capital, Baghdad, as an expression of the Iraqi people’s love for the Chinese people and the Chinese government As well as this congratulations on the occasion of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing 2022.

Opening of the Chinese Language Teaching Institute

The most important event in the Iraqi-Chinese Friendship Association was the opening of the Chinese Language Teaching Institute at the association’s headquarters with the support of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China on 13/1/2022, as it is the first Chinese language teaching institute in Iraq that was registered with the Iraqi government and the Chinese embassy in Baghdad. The institute accredits On the HSK Beijing Language University Textbook.

Support and participation the association with the Iraqi people to activate the Silk Road

Continuous support and participation with the Iraqi people to support the activation of the Silk Road program and participation in this project, as the association motivated and urged the Iraqi people to activate this initiative and enter Iraq with it in a strong manner.
